| iTranmsitterLocatorUS is a simple application which displays the television transmitters sites. This version of the application only supports US locations. The user interface is quite straight forward, initially a map is displayed of your current location with the locations of each transmitter site within a set radius. The radius is configurable in the Settings application. Sites with are displayed with a green pin if the site contains digital transmitters, otherwise they are displayed with a purple pin. | ||

| The title of each row shows the transmitter's call sign. The subtitle shows the service type, channel number, directional/non-directional and power or 'NA' when not available. Here the right button on the popup has been pressed and the site details view is display. |

Selecting a row will display a satellite view of the transmitter site with the contour map. The transmitter is marked in a red triangle and the contour boundary with yellow dots. | |
| More transmitter details can be viewed by clicking the information button at the top right. Click the button at the top left to return to the previous view. |

Clicking the dark information button at the top right of the initial screen will bring up a list of states, selecting a row will display a list of the main centers in that state. Selecting a center will bring up a map with transmitter sites around this center. |

| The range and the service types of transmitters can be tailored using the Settings application. |

The mapping function requires an interconnection. If the network connection is lost an alert will be displayed. However if a current map is being displayed the bearing function can still be used.
The magnetometer in the iPhone is sensitive to metal and other magnetic objects and can cause distruption to the accuracy of the heading.
